🦋 Personality

1. Has your character always believed in magic? Do they have something influencing their perspective on the supernatural/metaphysical/spiritual from their past? How do they feel about magic?


Stolas one hundred and ten percent believes in magic. Before he was exiled, one of his duties as the heir to Ars Goetia was to learn and study magic. He was even tasked to be the guardian to a very powerful Grimior whose one of its abilities was to create a portal to the living world. Which is what got his booty into hot water. Stolas kinda is a supernatural force, being one of the princes of Hell. Or was, at least for the next 100 years. The Seven Deadly are the only beings that hold higher rank over him and with his current track record, he doesn’t have a good experience with. Primarily Satan who ruled over his banishment punishment. But other than that, he respects their position above him. Even with his powers stripped, Stolas still loves magic. It was a part of him for so long that it feels like a piece of him is missing.


2. What mythological creature would your character most like to be? Which do they identify with? Which would they dread being? Feel free to use our Bestiary for reference.


If Stolas had to be any mythological creature he would want to be something to do with plants or stars, his two passions. Even though they are a race of females, dryads would be a good fit. They are gentle protectors of the forest. This fits with him with his love of nurturing plants in his massive greenhouse at the palace. A creature he most relates to would be a selkie. Selkies are soft, sorrowful, and misunderstood. He relates to the trapped feeling with his expectations of his rank. Wanting to be free of his cage. The creature he would hate being would be to any creature bound by a duty that has been placed upon them, where he can’t control his fate. Or any sort of literal chained guardian that is literally trapped by their duty. Which is how he feels about his own life with being the guardian of the grimoire. People see him as how they can use him, and not as his own person. He wants the freedom to be the master of his own fate.


3. If there's one person your character would follow to another realm, who would it be and why? If there's no one, state that and explain why.


I would say that there are potentially two people he would follow. However, the one he would follow into a different realm without question would be his daughter, Octavia. His daughter was the only good thing that came out of his loveless arranged marriage. He endured a life with Stella so that she could live as much as a normal teenager as she could, the one he was denied. She is the only family he has, since his father is as warm and caring as an ice cube. Which is why his heart was shattered when he lost her. If he could be with her again, he would jump at the chance.The other one would have been a yes earlier, but with how things are currently with Blitz, it's a toss up. With him being dethroned, Blitz is the only other person he knows. He is currently trusting him enough to crash at his place. There is still a part of him that loves him, even if he’s too afraid to let himself hope again. After all, he was willing to die for him.


4. If you'd like pixies to change one event in your character's life, what would it be and why?


The one life even he would ask the pixies to fix if they could would be returning his daughter to him. Sure, he misses his money, his powers, his rank, but he doesn’t miss the duty that was tied with them.Though he would deeply miss his magic. Maybe they could get those back for him too, that would be great. Magic has been a part of him for so long, he feels hollow without them. But not as hollow as he feels without his daughter. He doesn’t regret trying to save Blitz’s life, cause he is his light, but the aftermath of losing his daughter was not something he thought about when he did it. Stolas had to make an impossible decision, for if he did nothing Blitz would have died. He could learn to live without his princely privileges, but only if he has his daughter by his side.
